Background
Autofleet was founded in Tel Aviv in 2018 by Kobi Eisenberg and Dor Shay with a vision to provide fleet owners with advanced technology for optimizing complex operations. The company developed a highly scalable platform that brings together fleet management, route optimization, workflow automation, simulation, and mobility operations.
In October 2024, Element Fleet Management completed its acquisition of Autofleet for approximately US$110 million. Autofleet continues to operate as an independent, wholly owned subsidiary, combining its technology and mobility expertise with Element’s global scale, industry knowledge, and commercial reach. In 2025, Autofleet also became a central part of Element Mobility, a division focused on developing and scaling next-generation fleet technologies.
Autofleet is led by Adam Simkin, CIO of Element and Head of Autofleet. Co-founder Dor Shay serves as CTO of Autofleet and leads Element Mobility’s Innovation Lab.
Core Products and Solutions
- Fleet management: Centralized administration of vehicles, drivers, documents, inspections, compliance, maintenance records, permissions, and the full vehicle lifecycle, from onboarding to de-fleeting. Creates a reliable system of record, reduces administrative work, strengthens governance, and improves visibility into fleet health, compliance, and readiness. For large-scale fleets requiring advanced fleet management.
- Fleet operations: Real-time coordination of vehicles, drivers, tasks, depots, vendors, maintenance, charging, cleaning, inspections, and vehicle movements through the Control Center and mobile apps. Improves vehicle readiness and utilization, reduces downtime, and gives operators real-time visibility into execution, exceptions, and required actions. For fleets providing transportation services, including rental, car sharing, autonomous vehicles, ride-hailing, delivery, and more.
- AI-powered optimization: Multi-KPI optimization, demand prediction, dynamic routing, task prioritization and allocation, vehicle rebalancing, and maintenance and charging orchestration. Helps fleets balance cost, utilization, distance, capacity, service levels, and operational constraints while continuously determining the best plan. For fleets providing transportation services, including rental, car sharing, autonomous vehicles, ride-hailing, delivery, and more.
- Workflow automation: Configurable triggers, rules, alerts, approvals, task creation, assignments, escalations, and exception workflows powered by real-time fleet and telematics data and KPI tracking. Accelerates execution, reduces manual intervention and human error, standardizes processes, and ensures recurring operational work is completed consistently with a complete audit trail. For large fleets requiring high uptime, vehicle availability, and reliability.
- Route optimization and dispatch: Planning and real-time reoptimization for scheduled, on-demand, and hybrid services. Supports pooling, multi-loading, live traffic, time windows, capacity constraints, multimodal fleets, and EV routing. Reduces miles and cost per ride, delivery, or task; improves on-time performance and completion rates; and helps fleets adapt to disruptions without rebuilding plans manually. For mobility service providers and last-mile delivery services. Especially suitable for large-scale postal operations.
- Rental and shared mobility management: Reservations, automated vehicle allocation, check-out and check-in, digital inspections, keyless access, vehicle servicing, rebalancing, depot workflows, and customer-facing booking experiences. Keeps more vehicles available and revenue-generating while creating a smoother experience for customers, field teams, and partners. For rental and car sharing operators.
- Fleet planning: A cloud-based Fleet Planning Simulator for testing fleet size, vehicle mix, demand, routes, depots, charging infrastructure, operational policies, and financial scenarios. Allows operators to compare strategies before investing, rightsize fleets and infrastructure, improve TCO, and reduce the operational and financial risk of service expansion. For robotaxi and AV fleet operators and for large ride-hailing providers.
Data Sources and Coverage
Autofleet uses multiple data sources, including vehicle telematics, GPS location data, advanced mapping, and integrations into CRM and other systems of record. Autofleet incorporates external inputs such as live traffic data, charger availability, parking, and city information, and integrates with multiple demand sources.
Autofleet is an open platform that supports both APIs and webhooks. It can also support file imports via email and other sources if required.
