Autofleet’s Fleet Planning Simulator enables a global collaboration to improve the impact of EV charging on carbon emissions

An innovative approach to optimize EV charging can save up to 15% more CO² emissions.

Autofleet, the leading optimization platform for fleets and mobility operators, announced today that its simulation technology has been used to demonstrate digital collaboration with strategic partner Fujitsu as part of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD:) initiative to promote decarbonized intercompany data sharing.

In this demonstration, Fujitsu used Autoflet's simulation technology to combine data on EVs with data on carbon intensity (CO2 emissions per unit), which indicates the degree of greenness of electric power. As a result of optimizing for green power the carbon footprint of EVs was reduced by 15%,

EV充電を最適化する革新的アプローチで CO2排出量15%削減に貢献

車両やモビリティオペレーター向けの最適化プラットフォームを提供するAutofleetは、World Business Council for Sustainable Development （持続可能な開発のための世界経済人会議）（注1）（以下、WBCSD）が推進する企業間データシェアリングによる脱炭素交通の一環として、戦略的パートナーである富士通が取り組んだデジタルコラボレーションの実証にAutofleetのシミュレーション技術が活用されたことを発表いたします。

本実証では、脱炭素交通の実現を目的に、EVに関するデータと、電力のグリーン度を表すカーボンインテンシティ（単位あたりのCO2排出量）のデータを富士通がAutofleetのシミュレーション技術を活用して掛け合わせることで、グリーン電力（風力・太陽光発電など）が豊富な時間帯にEVを充電できるようサポートしました。その結果、フリート事業者（注2）のEV充電によるCO 2排出量を15%削減し、交通業界、エネルギー業界におけるネットゼロ実現（注3）に貢献できることを確認しました。

シミュレーションでは、実際の車両の走行データや交通状況を考慮したルート、また車両の充電レベルの情報を用い、理想的な充電計画を立案するために、既存の公共充電ステーションとの連携や、時間・場所におけるカーボンインテンシティを考慮に入れました。
